Machine model designation: AS450 basic
The AS450 basic is a vibrating sieve shaker for sieve tests in conjunction with
sieve stacks to determine the size of particles from various material samples. The
AS 450 basic has been specially designed for test sieves with a diameter of 400
mm to 450 mm. Therefore, compared to sieves with a diameter of 200 mm, 4 to 5
times the sieving area is available. This means that the AS 450 enables the
sieving time to be significantly shortened.
The AS 450 basic can be used for dry sieving of pourable, dispersed products with
a maximum feed size of 125 mm. A further advantage is the extremely high feed
quantity of up to 15 kg which can be separated, depending on the particle size and
sieve mesh size. All sieve parameters are set and displayed digitally.
It has an electromagnetic drive with special springs arranged at a calculated angle.
The horizontal pivoting movement and the vertical movement make it possible to
conduct sieve tests efficiently.
The remote control of the AS450 basic contains a digital controller to adjust
vibration, process duration and interval settings. The interval time is part of the
process duration, so that the vibration is switched on and off during the overall
sieve time. The timer for intervals is controlled by an override switch so that the
sieve shaker can be used in both continuous and interval operation. The process
duration and amplitude are displayed on the same digital display. The process
time is specified in minutes, and the amplitude is a fraction of the maximum
amplitude. The maximum amplitude depends on the number of sieves and on the
weight of the sample.

Danger of electric shock
– Water can enter the inside of the device and trigger a short circuit.
– An electric shock can lead to burns and to cardiac arrhythmias or to
respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest.
• The device is not suitable for wet sieving.
• Do not touch the device if water has got inside it!
• Always operate the device on a mains socket fused with a ground
fault circuit interrupter.
